Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our professional guide who will brief you about the safari. Depart from Kampala/Entebbe, heading southwest through the rolling hills of Kabale, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa,” due to its beautiful terraced hills and breathtaking scenery. Enjoy a lunch break en route in Mbarara. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its rich biodiversity and as the habitat of over half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up early for a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla tracking etiquette. With a packed lunch, set out into the misty rainforest guided by experienced trackers. The trek can be challenging but the reward is worth it—encountering a family of gorillas in their natural habitat. Spend up to one hour observing these gentle giants before heading back to the lodge. In the afternoon, relax or take a community walk to visit the Batwa pygmies, gaining insight into their unique culture and traditions.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha Sector
After breakfast, depart Bwindi for Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the scenic Ishasha sector, known for its famous tree-climbing lions. Keep your eyes peeled as you drive through this area; you might spot lions lounging in the fig trees. Proceed to the northern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive, spotting elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife against the stunning backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
Wake up early for a morning game drive along the Kasenyi plains, where you may encounter elephants, lions, hyenas, and several antelope species. The morning hours are the best time for viewing the park’s predators as they are still active. After lunch, head for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers an excellent opportunity to view hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birds, including African fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and Evening Game Drive
After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and head to Lake Mburo National Park, driving through the scenic countryside with views of the Ankole cattle and local homesteads. Arrive at Lake Mburo in the afternoon. After check-in and lunch, head out for an evening game drive. Lake Mburo is home to a variety of wildlife such as zebras, elands, impalas, and a wide array of bird species.

Day 6: Nature Walk and Transfer Back to Kampala

After the walk, enjoy breakfast and then begin your journey back to Kampala with a lunch stopover at the Equator for photo opportunities and souvenir shopping. Arrive in Kampala/Entebbe in the late afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable 6-day safari experience.
